Frequently Asked Questions – Membership

1. I want to visit the site's Members Only areas. How do I get a username and password?

Submit a request to Liz Lewis or Jackie Locklar at lizl@gcua.org or jackiel@gcua.org. They will verify that your credit union is a member of the Georgia Shared Branching Council and have your username and password set up.

4. What are the requirements for membership in the Council?

Your credit union must participate as an issuer in the Georgia Shared Branching Network.

5. What are the benefits of Council membership?

6. What is the cost to join the Georgia Shared Branching Council?

Currently, membership is free. A fee of $15-$20 is charged for each participant attending the meeting to cover the administrative cost.

7. How do I report a change in address, e-mail, phone, fax or content information for my credit union?

8. When will the information on the next Georgia Shared Branching Council Meeting be available?

Georgia Shared Branching Council Meeting information is typically available 3 weeks to a month ahead of time. Registration forms will be located on this Web site.

9. Who from my credit union can attend the meetings?

Any staff member from a Georgia Shared Branching credit union can join the council, however, we recommend that credit union managers, operations manager, branch managers, network professionals, and/or shared branching support staff join the council. You may elect to bring a person from your credit union (i.e. accounting or member service) to a meeting where a specific topic is presented which may benefit their area.

10. What is the dress code at your meetings?

Business casual is acceptable attire at the Georgia Shared Branching Council Meetings.

11. How are topics for meetings and newsletters selected?

The topics for most Georgia Shared Branching council meetings generate from members' ideas. We strongly encourage members to suggest topics and ideas for discussion at the Georgia Shared Branching Council Meetings. These meetings are for your staff to learn about topics that are relevant to your day-to-day business.

12. How do I make a suggestion for a Georgia Shared Branching Council topic or Georgia Shared Branching Newsletter topic?

Simply e-mail your idea to Liz Lewis at lizl@gcua.org or Jackie Locklar at jackiel@gcua.org.

13. Where are Georgia Shared Branching Council Meetings held?

Two meetings are typically in the Atlanta area. (Duluth, Atlanta, College Park, Marietta, etc.) and one in the Macon area.
